"Oceanic Power" Wins Award

Journalist Award "endless energy" 2008 goes to Johannes Bünger and Carl-A. Fechner.

Johannes Bünger and Carl-A. Fechner have received this year's Journalist Award "endless energy" (Category: Television) for their film "Oceanic Power - Energy of the Future?".

According to the jury, the film is "an outstanding documentation about the energy potential of the oceans, with compelling pictures and phantastic shooting and staging".

The Journalist Award is bestowed once a year by Germany's Renewable Energy Agency, honouring "media productions that convey the potential and importance of renewable energies in an outstanding manner." At the award ceremony in Berlin, the laudatios were held by the two former Federal Ministers of Environment, Prof. Dr. Klaus Töpfer and Jürgen Trittin.
